Oh Wonder releases "Shark" re-recording

Yesterday, English alt-pop duo Oh Wonder self-released "Shark - 10 Years On". On their Instagram, they shared the names of their new collaborators.

We promised you ‘Shark - 10 Years On’, so here it is! 🦈 The second installment of re-recording and re-releasing one song a month from our first album.

Making this has been so much fun the second time round. As with ‘Body Gold’, we’ve re-recorded with some old friends (George and Yves, who’ve played on stage with us every night for the last 8 years), and new friends (Freddy and Harvey who are musical wizards) and they’ve made it sound super fresssssh !

We hope you love it 🦈💕🤞🏼

This continues Oh Wonder's series of re-recording one song a month from their self-titled debut album. Last month, they started the campaign with "Body Gold - 10 Years On".

"In 2014 we decided to write, record and release one song a month for a year. And so it was 10 years ago to the day, that we went to our local café, anonymously uploaded a song called ‘Body Gold’ to SoundCloud and ordered some breakfast. 3 days later it was on 100,000 plays. Out of nowhere. That was the start of the best 10 years of our lives.

So to say thank you here’s a new version, recorded 10 years on. This time with real instruments, proper microphones, and a decade's worth of experience playing and singing this song around the world. Hopefully it feels the same, but better. Like a warm, comforting hug for your ears. We hope you love it and it brings back some good memories.

Guess we better start looking at ‘Shark’... #OW10
