Oasis tease reunion tour documentary 'Don't Look Back In Anger'

One year to the day since Oasis first took to the stage at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for their first gig in fifteen long years, the band released the trailer for Don’t Look Back In Anger, a documentary covering the reunion and subsequent tour.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight sits at the helm of the film, alongside directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The BAFTA and Oscar-nominated screenwriter, producer, and director said of the documentary in May: “I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people.”

The 45-second trailer may whet fan’s appetites, but there is a lot to keep them guessing.  “I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam,” Noel says in a voiceover, “I just don’t see it.” Liam echoes: “The way it finished… unacceptable.”

The trailer primarily shows footage of the band onstage, fans in and around stadiums, and a few shots of the Gallgher brothers in rehearsal, though conspicuously never together, as the intro to their 1995 hit Morning Glory blares in the background.

“Most thought it would never happen,” an Australian reporter muses in the background, “and some still aren’t convinced”.

The film releases in IMAX and cinemas on September 11th and will stream globally on Disney+ and on Hulu and Disney+ in the United States.
