Swedish multi-instrumentalist and poet Nina Winder-Lind, better known to some as one-fourth Brighton-based art-rock band The New Eves, returns to her other musical path today with "This is Our Life," her first new solo material since 2023's The Spirit is Carnal EP.

Watch the video below, featuring her New Eves bandmate Ella Oona Russell (who also plays and sings on the track) and "an anonymous godsent dog."

As Winder-Lind says in a press release, "'This is Our Life' almost wrote itself,'" adding:

“I was in my family’s cabin in the north of Sweden when it happened. Equipped with an acoustic guitar, a violin and a zoom mic I went into a shed and made a quick demo. It was sparse but at the same time it was all there already. I was surprised that I seemed to have written a pop song but apparently that needed to happen. 

I wrote 'This is Our Life' about someone very close to me and then realised it could actually be about quite a few people in my life. It recognises the mental and sometimes physical struggle of being a creative person but it also celebrates the forces that keep us going. When we play it with the band I feel so happy. We dance. We enter joyous abandon. We declare pride and wild love.”

The single is released via Transgressive Records, and more is promised soon.
