Earlier today, My Chemical Romance announced The Black Parade North American Tour beginning July 2025. In honor of The Black Parade, the band will perform the album in its entirety in 10 cities across the United States. This follows their performance at the 2024 When We Were Young festival, where they also performed the 2006 album in full. The Black Parade North America Tour is sponsored by LiveNation.
My Chemical Romance are no stranger to theatrics and world-building. On November 11, they began teasing a new project with a cryptic message posted on their Instagram. “If you could be anything, what would you be?” they asked, attaching a graphic of their initials with subtle clues like confetti and a city skyline to hint at something related to The Black Parade.
Today’s official tour announcement came complete with a trailer and reintroduction to the dystopian, militaristic world of the record. "It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT," they wrote. "In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about 'THE CONCRETE AGE'; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG." The trailer features a dictator walking through a lavish mansion, following the cries of a rhythmic, cheering crowd outside, only to reveal the iconic black-and-white parade landscape featured in the 2006 "The Black Parade" music video.
The stadium tour will feature a different special guest performance for each date. The acts performing alongside My Chemical Romance also represent different generations and styles within the Rock/Alt genre. While some legacy bands like Pixies, Evanescence, Violent Femmes, Garbage, and Death Cab for Cutie are slotted, newer and younger bands like 100 gecs, IDLES, and Wallows will also make an appearance.
