Momma announce 'Welcome to My Blue Sky (Deluxe Edition)' with five additional songs

Today, the Brooklyn-based band Momma announced that they would be releasing a deluxe version of their latest album Welcome to My Blue Sky, which came out April 4 via Polyvinyl Record Co. The digital reissue includes five new songs, as well as a cover of Elliott Smith/Heatmiser's "Christian Brothers", and it'll be out November 14 via Polyvinyl.

The band also shared the single "Cross Your Heart", written for the original album but never released. Watch/listen to the track below:

The band explains via press release that "Cross Your Heart" was one of the first songs meant to appear on Welcome To My Blue Sky, saying:

"We actually were messing around with this one during soundchecks while we were still touring Household Name. We always knew it had potential but we could never fully crack it...It’s about a forbidden romance and sneaking around with another person."

Of the four additional tracks, Momma explain their b-side status by saying, "We never got to a point where we felt like we could fully finish them." Two of the previously unreleased tracks were recorded live, solo, and with acoustics — a reflection of the state the band left them in before moving on to finish the record.

They continued: "Wrapping the deluxe edition is our cover of the song 'Christian Brothers' by Elliott Smith/Heatmiser, which is a song that we have been covering and playing live since high school.”

Momma recently finished the US leg of their headlining tour, as well as a couple ampitheater gigs supporting The Marías earlier in the summer. They're now continuing to promote Welcome to My Blue Sky in the UK and Europe, and they will embark on a couple performances in Australia and Japan for the first time in 2026. Tickets are available now.
