Indie rock golden boy MJ Lenderman will no longer be apart of the touring band of Wednesday, the Asheville alt-country band fronted by Lenderman's ex-girlfriend Karly Hartzman. He will, however, still be on their upcoming recorded music, as Hartzman has confirmed the band's next record is already complete.

Wednesday spent 2023 and 2024 on tour supporting their breakout record, Rat Saw God, and Lenderman released his own breakout record, Manning Fireworks during that run. Lenderman began touring that record in the fall, and will continue touring with his band The Wind through the rest of this year.

A replacement guitarist named Jake has been tapped to fill his role, but no other information about him has surfaced.
