Swiss arts platform Joyfully Waiting has premiered a new recording from R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe that combines a live reading of Max Ehrmann's 1927 poem "Desiderata," recorded at ICA Milan in December 2023, with an instrumental version of a track called "Hum" from Stipe's long, long awaited solo LP.

The track was written and produced by Stipe together with Andy LeMaster, and features additional vocals from visual artist Elizabeth Hatmaker.
