The Paris-based artist Melissa Weikart has announced her new album Contact, out October 23 via Midnight Special Records.

Alongside the announcement, Weikart released a new single, "L'amour se construit," which translates to "love is built." Check out the music video below:

On her new track, the Boston-raised artist examines how she captures her emotions and questions the constraints we place on the meaning of love. In a press release, Weikart describes the single as such:

"A plea to not only accept but welcome the inevitable messiness that accompanies our emotions around love. In an increasingly automatised society where our desires are seemingly commodified at every turn, perhaps we can find solace in embracing imperfection and the contradictions that lie at the heart of what it means to be human."
