Her latest album Megan might be barely two months old but Texan rapper Megan Thee Stallion is already promising "big things" coming up, starting with her new track "Neva Play". Out this coming Friday (6 September), the song features BTS rapper and primary songwriter RM, who is currently serving 18 months in the South Korean military, along with three of his bandmates: Jung Kook, Jimin, and V.
It's the second time Megan has collaborated with the K-pop crossovers, following her guest verse on a remix of their hit song "Butter" three years ago. She also made a surprise appearance on stage when the band stopped by Los Angeles on their Permission to Dance on Stage tour later that year.
In an Instagram post sharing the comic-style single artwork, Megan hinted that RM's contribution to "Neva Play" was something out of the ordinary, writing: "This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before."
Megan was recently revealed as the host of this year's MTV Video Music Awards, which takes place at the UBS Arena on Long Island on Wednesday 11 September, and livestreamed worldwide. Although she has previously been a guest host on Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the VMAs will be her first time as an award show host.

As well as being host, Megan is in the running for five Moonman statues having notched up four nominations on her own and one for her GloRilla collaboration, "Wanna Be". GloRilla has been named among the lineup of performers for the show, so they may well end up performing together. Other artists schedule to perform include Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Katy Perry, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa of Blackpink, Camila Cabello, Benson Boone, and Rauw Alejandro.
