Mary J. Blige announces new album and tour

R&B and hip hop soul maven Mary J. Blige has announced that her new record, Gratitude, will be released November 15 via 300 Entertainment/Mary Jane Productions. This will be Blige's 15th studio album, following 2022's well-received and Grammy-nominated Good Morning Gorgeous.

In an appearance on the daytime talk show SHERRI, with Sherri Shepherd, Blige dropped the news about Gratitude. She also revealed that she will be embarking on a tour in early 2025. While no official dates or venues have been named, the For My Fans Tour will hit cities such across North America, including Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Washington, D.C. and more.

Speaking with Shepherd, Blige expanded on the name and theme of this upcoming album cycle:

"It’s called Gratitude because that’s where I am,” she said. “Look at my life right now, I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good, I have jobs and opportunities, I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I got people around that care and love me and I have amazing fans."

In other exciting news, Blige is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on October 19.
