Lucy Dacus has announced a 10th anniversary reissue of her debut album, No Burden, set to arrive on December 4. The reissue includes a previously unreleased bonus track, “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye.”

In a statement posted to Instagram, Dacus said she wrote the songs on No Burden while working a string of odd jobs, including as a box office attendant, a yearbook photo editor, and a waitress, to cover her share of rent in Richmond. She said the album was recorded mostly live in a single day, with a few additional hours spent the next day on the track “Trust” and some guitar overdubs. Dacus also said revisiting the record recently, she noticed her voice and accent sounded different than they do now. She’s also reissuing the album with new artwork after regaining ownership of her masters, and added “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye” to the tracklist since she wrote it at the same time as the album.

Dacus released Forever Is a Feeling in 2025 via Geffen, following her 2021 album Home Video on Matador. In 2023, she also released the record as part of boygenius, the group she formed with Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers.

You can listen to “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye” now. The 10th anniversary reissue of No Burden arrives December 4.
