Following a sweeping anti-trans executive order from president Donald Trump, singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus is pledging $10,000 for 20 fans' gender-affirming surgeries. In her call for GoFundMes to donate to, she encouraged fans to contribute as well.
She took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday morning, calling to action
if trans people wanna comment surgery gofundmes, I’m gonna give away 10k in $500 increments until it’s gone, & if other people wanna scroll through and make donations, please do
