Embrace the whimsy of Cameron Winter's "Love Takes Miles" in new music video starring Lucas Hedges

Cameron Winter's Heavy Metal track "Love Takes Miles" became an immediate fan-favorite when it came out December 6, 2024. So much so, that a year later, it's considered the best of 2025 by multiple publications. Now, the soft rock song has an official music video, starring Oscar-nominated actor Lucas Hedges as a lonely construction worker with a song and dance in his heart.

Watch the music video for "Love Takes Miles", directed by Celia Rowlson-Hall, below:

The music video begins in a relatable fashion: Hedges, a construction worker off the clock, throwing rocks while yelling the catchy chorus from memory at full volume, overcome with emotion. The video then shows us snippets of his character's daily yet mundane work routine, splicing different parts of the song to fit the repetitive montage of his everyday life.

"Love Takes Miles" initially serves as an anchor for Hedges' spirit, letting him smile and dance during breaks. Then, overcome with the spirit of the tune, the Manchester By The Sea actor breaks free from his lonely job, barreling over cars to be one with nature and Winter's hit track.

Winter initially released a visualizer for "Love Takes Miles" last year, sharing a semi-live performance he recorded as part of a promotional series for Heavy Metal. (He also filmed and uploaded "Drinking Age", "The Rolling Stones", and the only single, "$0".) Directed by Andy Swartz, you can watch it below:
