Lana Del Rey dives deeper into Americana ballads with "Bluebird"

A week after the release of her single "Henry, Come On", Lana Del Rey shared her next single "Bluebird" earlier today. Continuing her exploration into Americana and traditional country music, the singer-songwriter collaborated with producers Drew Erickson and Luke Laird, who is also credited as a co-writer.

Listen to "Bluebird" below:

"Bluebird" sings of escape and seeking freedom: "Find a way to fly," she croons in the chorus. "Find a way to fly / Just shoot for the Sun / 'Til I can finally run / Find a way to fly!" The new track also features a slow, classic country instrumental break, with strings, harmonica, and acoustic guitar coming together for a waltz.

Both "Heny, Come On" and "Bluebird" will appear on her forthcoming album, which, as she clarified on Instagram last week, will no longer be titled The Right Person Will Stay. The artist, per usual, also delayed the release date, no longer sharing it on May 21.

“You know it’s not going to come on time, right?” Del Rey joked to her fans, who are all too familiar with her history of delaying albums and changing names. “Should I even tell you that the name changed again? ...Yeah, maybe I’ll wait.”

Lana Del Rey is still scheduled to headline Stagecoach Festival next week, where she promises to feature a "very special country set."
