With how busy DJ Knock2 has been over the last year, it’s unthinkable that he is just now releasing his debut album, nolimit, on 88rising records.
The album, released January 17 2025, contains 17 tracks and a plethora of features from the likes of RL Grime, Lauren LaRue, and Warren Hue. The album will be supported by a world tour starting in February.
The San Diego-based DJ has released a steady stream of singles since 2018 and struck gold after collaborating with his hometown friend, DJ ISOxo. The pair formed the duo ISOKNOCK and released their first collaborative album 4EVR in August of 2024. The critically lauded album spawned the subsequent SAN DIEGO 4EVR festival, which sold out 25k tickets in a matter of hours.
When describing this new project, Knock2 said:
“I wanted to channel my personal experiences as DJ and producer, from my early days as an open format DJ, to bootleg remixer, to mainstage festival performer —this project is a culmination of all of those years and highlighting those parallels.”
The ‘Knock2: nolimit TOUR’ begins February 7 in Vancouver, BC and will travel the United States before heading back to Canada in March, ending in Australia this April. The music will be supported by an immersive visual stage production called, “The Stack,” which tells the story of Dash, “a character who hosts a pirate radio station in a dystopian world where loud electronic music has been outlawed,” according to 88rising Rrecords.
