Today, HYBE x Geffen announced that Sophia Laforteza will be returning to group activities with KATSEYE starting in January 2027. The leader of the global girl group had previously been on hiatus since August 7 of this year.

As the leader of KATSEYE, Laforteza served as the primary spokeswoman for the global girl group. Due to her absence, KATSEYE only had an active four out of its original six members (Manon Bannerman has been on hiatus since February 20, 2026). It is unclear if Bannerman will be returning to KATSEYE.
