Former two-term governor Roy Cooper has tapped a handful of local artists for a GOTV concert at Cat's Cradle's long-awaited second location in Carrboro, NC, on Friday, October 23. Others scheduled to appear include Tift Merritt, Watchhouse, and Viv & Riley, along with Gov. Josh Stein and Justice Anita Earls.

Register for the event here.

The event will take place during the early voting period, which begins Thursday, October 15 and runs through Saturday, October 31. Election Day across the state and country is Tuesday, November 3.

According to recent polling, Cooper has a comfortable lead over Republican nominee Michael Whatley, partially due to rising costs of living and President Trump's plummeting statewide approval rate.

Alongside Cat's Cradle's GOTV announcement, they also shared that Built to Spill will be performing on November 3. Tickets here.
