At midnight ET, Kanye West ('Ye') posted a music video for "530," a track off the recent Vultures 2 collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign, to his Instagram. It contains AI-generated visuals, according to Hypebeast. The video also includes the new lyrics to "530" published following the November 10 record update, and it still has not been uploaded to YouTube under the ¥$ collective's brand. A reuploaded version can be seen below:
"530" was originally a leaked track from the Donda 2 album cycle, encapsulating much of Ye's perspectives on the finalization of his divorce with Kim Kardashian, according to Billboard. The original August recording for Vultures 2 was notably unfinished, with missing lyrics, mumbling vocals, and sound quality issues. Rumors spread that West had also used generative aritificial intelligence to replicate his own vocals on the album, including this song, according to HipHopDX. In November, West and Ty Dolla $ign switched out the incoplete third verse with a reworked, more coherent version, which can be heard in the video.
The "530" music video contains AI-generated, black-and-white images of distorted, grossly exaggerated, female-presenting puppets, seemingly taking on a Hans Bellmer's "Dolls" aesthetic. The video shows the dolls—which also look like eerie mascots—getting cosmetic procedures, shopping, arguing with each other, and going about their days. Following "Bomb," this is the second music video from the Vultures 2 album cycle that uses AI-generated visuals, according to Hypebeast.
