Today, the rowdy hip-hop duo Joey Valence & Brae (JVB) shared their new single "WASSUP", co-written by and featuring JPEGMAFIA. The single is now the third in a slew of collaborations between the JVB and other hip-hop artists released this year, following "Raw" with 6ix and "Clover" with IDK.

The three then debuted the song last weekend at New York City's Governors Ball. During Peggy's set on Friday, June 6, he brought out the two as his surprise guests. There, they performed the bombastic, braggadocious new track for the crowd. Joey Valence confirmed the next day that they would be officially releasing the track today.

According to Valence on X, new music is on the way. This closely follows JVB's sophomore record, No Hands, which they self-released September 13, 2024. "[No Hands] is over," he wrote on April 10. "Time for somethin new :)"
