Hot off the heels of the (potentially permanent) dissolution of alt-rock icons Jane's Addiction, guitarist Dave Navarro has announced a new wah pedal through style brand Supreme.
A teaser video was uploaded by the brand on September 18th. The classic Dunlop Crybaby wah pedal has been given a Navarro makeover, in (what else?) bright red. In the words of the man himself, straight from Instagram: "Super stoked to work on this collaboration with @supremenewyork and @jimdunlopusa – the #crybaby wah has always been a staple on my board and now it’s available with an ungodly amount of @supremenewyork steeeeeeeeeze!"
Seems like it's one of the more on-brand moves the tattoo artist, fashion maverick and part-time axeman could've pulled.
Jane's Addiction just cancelled its tour, featuring the original lineup of the band, after singer Perry Farrell attacked Navarro mid-show in Boston. Strangely, with the band's future uncertain and perhaps dead for good, the quartet released a new song, "True Love," around the same time Navarro announced the pedal. Listen to the new track below.
