Jane Remover dropped a surprise mixtape on SoundCloud...and then deleted it

Surprise-dropping an album is somehow a common occurence when you're Jane Remover. Earlier this year, the artist released their third record Revengeseekerz on April 4 after teasing new music (with no release date) for months. Around 10 pm ET, seemingly out of nowhwere, JR posted a link to an unlisted SoundCloud page and uploaded an entire new mixtape.

Two hours after initial release, however, Jane Remover deleted the whole thing, including their tweets promoting it. For those who were online at the right window of time, they had new music for a whole two hours.

The only remnant of this moment: the post made directly after taking down the mixtape

Titled Indie Rock, the mixtape contained 17 tracks, and it was available for free exclusively on SoundCloud — though, not under Jane Remover's official page. Unlike Revengeseekerz or Jane Remover's previous work, which were released under the deadAir label, this new album was self-released. (And then self-deleted.)

Indie Rock is also not associated with Jane Remover's alt rock side project Venturing, whose debut album Ghostholding came out earlier this year as well.
