J. Cole shuts down rumors that his new blog is part of ‘The Fall Off' album rollout

J. Cole has denied rumors that his new blog is directly related to the rollout of his upcoming album, The Fall Off. A couple days ago (January 27), he launched a new blog called The Algorithm on his website Inevitable, where his limited audio series of the same name can also be found.

In his first post, the rapper explained why he decided to choose this means of communication:

“This is just a place for me to share. I been wanting a lil blog for years. Somewhere to post random shit I fuck with where the audience is way smaller than it is on the social media platforms. Finally pulled the trigger, bare with us as we still developing this page and the layout.”

He then shared the Ahmad Lewis track “Back in the Day”, saying “Been loving this song since I was like 9 years old."

Yesterday night (January 28), Jermaine uploaded a new blog post to clarify a misunderstanding that his manager Ibrahim Hamad had notified him of, “Ib [Ibrahim] told me some people was thinking this blog meant an album was about to drop. Nahhh. Not exactly. when it’s time for something you will know,” referring to his long-awaited seventh studio album The Fall Off.

“This is not that. I just wanted a place to share documentaries I be watching on YouTube and songs I fuck with,” he cleared up.

Additionally, he expressed his love for all the support in the blog initiative, and shared Mr. Vegas' song “I Am Blessed”, adding “This was the anthem for the day. For realllllll.”

The Fall Off is the North Carolina-native's seventh and apparently final studio album, which he's been working on for many years. Although there’s no release date yet, the rapper’s supposed final chapter could arrive before April, in time for Dreamville’s fifth and final festival. “I’ll see y’all at Dreamville Festival,” he told the crowd at the end of his 2014 Forest Hills Drive 10th- Anniversary show back in December. “Hopefully I’ll have something new to perform for y’all.”

The “No Role Modelz” artist has been breathing new life to his old mixtapes by releasing them officially on streaming services in tandem with each episode of his reflective limited audio series Inevitable, alongside Ibrahim Hamad.

The Dreamville member latest track was a 5-minute song available on Instagram and Youtube where he addresses many topics, including last year’s feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
