To celebrate their new label deal with Loma Vista Recordings, Indigo De Souza has shared a trio of "obnoxious ass love songs" in the form of new EP, Wholesome Evil Fantasy. It's the first new music from the American-Brazilian singer/songwriter since last year's inventive All of This Will End, and sees them pushing further into pop territory.
Writing in a press release, De Souza says the three songs come from "the spiciest, most goofy, glitter gloss place in my psyche," adding:
"I wasn’t really thinking very hard when I wrote them. I was just having so much fun. I am continuously inspired by the sounds and energy brought by my collaborators, Elliott Kozel and Jesse Schuster. They are always making me laugh and bringing out the silliest version of me. I would not have discovered this new space without them. Listening to these songs fills me with gratitude for the playful musical connection we have, as well as everlasting friendship. My baseline existence can be pretty heavy and complicated, but these songs made me deeply joyous the whole time I was working on them."

De Souza heads out on a short US tour next week, including four headline dates plus appearances at the both the DC and NYC editions of All Things Go Festival on 28 and 29 September, respectively. They'll also host two dance parties to celebrate the release of Wholesome Evil Fantasy, one in LA on 3 October and the other in their hometown of Asheville, NC on 8 October.
