On September 14, a select group of members from Gap Inc.’s Encore membership program will get an up-close performance from the singer-songwriter at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre in Greenwich Village. The event, called Encore After Hours and powered by Rolling Stone, promises an evening built around fashion, music, and culture.
Gap Inc. Executive Vice President and Creative Director Zac Posen will open the night with remarks right before Gigi Perez sits down with Rolling Stone’s Julyssa Lopez for a conversation on the relationship between music and fashion. A live performance from Perez will follow.
Perez has built a devoted following since she started posting music on on TikTok and SoundCloud around 2020, drawing listeners in with raw, confessional lyricism over stripped-down acoustic instrumentation. Her 2021 SoundCloud releases “Sometimes (Backwood)” and “Celene,” the latter written in the wake of her sister’s death, marked an early turning point, and the momentum only grew from there with her breakout hit “Sailor Song” taking over TikTok and pushing her into several festival lineups, including a Coachella debut earlier this year.
A smaller group of 50 Encore cardholders will also get access to a pre-event cocktail hour at Wild Cherry, the new restaurant and bar inside the Cherry Lane lobby, hosted by Posen.
Gap Inc. launched Encore in early 2026, and the program has since grown into one of the largest apparel membership programs in the country, with nearly 40 million active members. Rather than standard rewards, Encore is built around giving members access to cultural moments and experiences and on September 14, it will mark one of the biggest swings yet during New York Fashion Week.
