Beyoncé is donating $1 million of her own money to organizations providing relief in Colombia after a powerful earthquake devastated parts of the country earlier this month.

Parkwood Entertainment announced the donation this week, saying the funds will help provide food and housing supplies to communities affected by the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Chocó on August 10.

The disaster killed and injured residents, destroyed homes, and damaged roads and other critical infrastructure. The effects were felt across several Colombian cities. Beyoncé and Parkwood pointed those looking to contribute toward Food For The Poor and World Central Kitchen, two organizations participating in relief efforts.

Shakira's also joined recovery efforts alongside Global Citizen, Live Nation, and CAF, committing an initial $1.25 million.

Beyoncé’s donation arrives during an especially busy stretch for the singer. She is currently celebrating 20 years of her sophomore album, B’Day, which originally arrived September 4, 2006.

The anniversary festivities include an expanded 27-track edition of the album, set for release September 4. Alongside staples like “Déjà Vu,” “Get Me Bodied,” “Upgrade U,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Irreplaceable,” and “Beautiful Liar,” the deluxe release digs further into the B’Day era with Spanish-language recordings and previously unreleased material.

Beyoncé kicked off the anniversary celebration with “Morning Dew (Donk),” while the expanded album will also feature rarities including “My First Time,” “Lost Yo Mind,” “Creole,” and “Back Up.”
