At midnight, Irish indie-rock band Fontaines D.C. released a new standalone single "It's Amazing To Be Young", accompanied by a music video. The band also announced that a limited 7" vinyl record of the single will be available for sale on April 18. It will feature a new B-side, titled "Before You I Just Forget".

The band first teased the new track on February 19, posting a snippet of the music video and a sign-up newsletter link to their social media.

"It's Amazing To Be Young" is the band's latest music after the August 23, 2024 release of their fourth studio record, Romance. The song still lives within that universe: not only are the musical and lyrical elements of the track reminiscent of the dreamy sound of their single "Favourite", but the music video also features the same actors as the "Here's The Thing" and "In The Modern World" music videos.

Fontaines D.C. are also embarking on an extensive world tour to promote their 2024 record Romance. The release of the single coincides with the first day, as they will be performing tonight (2/21) in Osaka, Japan. The band will then travel to cities across Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, North America, Europe, and the UK and Ireland.
