Folk Bitch Trio lose themselves from unrequited love in "Moth Song"

Today, the Melbourne-Naarm-based band Folk Bitch Trio shared their third promotional single, "Moth Song", a track off their forthcoming debut record, Now Would Be A Good Time, which comes out next month, July 25, via Jagjaguwar.

Watch the visualizer, compilation of snippets and scenic footage recorded by the band, for "Moth Song" below:

The new song explores the feeling of "being so spun out by everything that you feel like you’re delusional and hallucinating crazy things," says lyricist and vocalist Gracie Sinclair via press release. And while the song continues to indulge in the airy, Americana-inspired three-part harmony among Clark, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle heard in previous tracks "Cathode Ray" and "The Actor", "Moth Song" also features a trembling violin part composed and performed by Anita Clark.

Tom Healy, the record's producer, is also credited as the bassist on the new song.

Folk Bitch Trio's US headline tour begins next month, where they will be travelling to several cities with Bloomsday, Jordan Patterson, and Whitney joining as support. They will then head to the UK and Europe for a brief European stint before returning to their home in Australia and New Zealand to finish out the tour with Georgia Knight as their opener.
