English Teacher share brand-new 'Live From BBC Maida Vale Studios' EP

What an incredible year it's been for the indie-rock quartet, English Teacher. From performing at Glastonbury to speaking at the Houses of Parliament about the crisis of grassroots artists and venues, and sharing their illustrious debut LP This Could Be Texas back in February.

Today the band is back, with a compilation of five stunning releases on their newest EP, Live From BBC Maida Vale Studios

Out today via Island Records, the EP features two covers, including an alt-indie cover of Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” and a whimsical rendition of LCD Soundsystem’s “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down”.

Over the last few years, the band has been on an upward trajectory. At the tail end of 2023, they made a guest appearance on Later... With Jools Holland, with an ethereal performance. Earlier this year, their debut LP This Could Be Texas was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize.

This September the band is embarking on a short North American tour with IDLES. Shortly after, they’ll be touring their biggest headline show to date, making debut performances at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Manchester’s O2 Ritz.

Live From BBC Madia Vale Studios is available to stream everywhere.
