Florist's Emily A. Sprague has announced a new solo 7", Double Moon, as their first new music of 2026, marking a return to the modular synth composition style of their earlier work "after 4 or 5 years away."
The title track is out today, via RVNG Intl., followed by a digital release and limited run of 500 vinyl on May 29. The digital edition includes the title track plus a remix by Australian producer Andras, while the physical version includes another new song “Dusk (How to Fly)” as a bonus track.

Writing on their Substack, Sprague says of the song:
"When I started writing this track on my synth, reuniting with the instrument that really bloomed open my brain nearly a decade ago, I knew that I was returning home to a place where someone was speaking up and wanting to be heard. The voice of beginning new, throwing away rules, fears, and the idea of perfection by any metric. It was the “yes” in my core that knew this was going to be music I wanted to document and share. Thankfully, I held on to most of my modular gear all those years, and tended to it like a wounded companion that would one day ride with me again.
Emerging from these years of what felt like patience with my practice, letting time wash over me, not making too many sudden or extreme moves, trusting in the god of circles and reminding myself of my own ability to hold all the different parts, led me to the unlocked door protecting a brand new space to think inside of. Where there are no boxes that I already know I don’t want to fit inside of. It is very very nice to be here."
Writing on Instagram, they add:
"while there is a part of me very much tethered to the earth and to a very viscerally human experience, there has also always been a part of me that feels elsewhere. among the stars, the inbetween spaces, the spirit world, the microscopic. throughout my life i have felt like the process of hopping between these two modes has shaped a lot of my personality and my relationship to socializing, my individuality, and my meaning making here on earth. this new track is in a way building a bridge where the water flows above and the air flows below, and these two parts of me are meeting."
