Elvis Costello announces 2025 tour

Elvis Costello is heading out on tour next year. Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello will span 17 dates across the United States early next summer, and will celebrate his earliest albums including his 1977 debut My Aim is True to 1986’s Blood & Chocolate per a press statement. Presale will be available tomorrow, 11 December at 10:00 a.m. local time and the general sale takes place 13 December at 10:00 a.m. local time. Radio Soul! will be supported by the Imposters and Charlie Sexton.

Before embarking on this tour with the Imposters, Costello will be touring the States from February to March with keyboardist Steve Nieve who has played in Costello’s backing bands the Attractions and the Imposters. Tickets for these shows are available now.

The lineup for summer’s Radio Soul! includes Davey Faragher on bass, Steve Nieve on keyboards, Charlie Sexton on guitar, and Pete Thomas on drums. The latter three members were in the original lineup of the Attractions. Faragher has played backup for Costello since 2001.

“If there is an encore and we play, ‘Farewell, OK’, it probably means some of those ‘Early Songs’ will have been performed in your city for the very last time,” Costello said in a statement. “I don’t want to go back, I want to bring these songs into the present day, once more, in the event they are ever pushed out of the way by the next number that I write. You could say time is running out but only time will tell.”
