Last October, Dua Lipa performed a one-off gig at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall. The performance was complete with a full orchestra, a 14-person choir, and a cameo from none other than Sir Elton John.
Although this was a one-night-only engagement, The "Houdini" singer recently announced that this show will now be immortalized as a live album: Live From Royal Albert Hall.
The album, set to release on December 6, will allow listeners to hear a completely reimagined version of her album, Radical Optimism, from front to back, along with some of her previous hit songs.
If this wan't enough, the Grammy-winning singer also announced a primetime concert special: An Evening With Dua Lipa. This television event will air on CBS and Paramount+ on December 15, and will allow fans to experience the full show from the comfort of their own homes.
In a statement released to the press, Dua said about the project:
"For the longest time, I’ve had this idea to reimagine my music with an orchestra, and when I was making ‘Radical Optimism’, I was constantly thinking about the live element and how these songs would transform on stage, so when The Royal Albert Hall show came up, it presented itself as the perfect opportunity to not only reconstruct these songs, but also celebrate them in such a beautiful and intimate way. The experience was entirely thrilling and equally rewarding. It was a dream come true, and something I’ll always take with me."
