Denzel Curry says 'Melt My Eyez' is his best record, bonus 'KOTMS II' tracks out this year

Denzel Curry fired off a flurry of tweets on Saturday night, dropping all kinds of hints about what he might do next, what he thinks of his discography so far, and a teaser for a deluxe edition of his latest mixtape, King of the Mischievous South II, which came out in July. “This is just the beginning shits bout to turn up this year and next year,” he tweeted, “GOD MODE.”

Earlier in the evening, he revealed that he’d been relistening to all of his albums and concluded that, besides KOTMS II, his 2022 album Melt My Eyez See Your Future is the best one he’d crafted. “The rest are good but some things make me cringe a bit,” he explained. “As an artist I study my old work to see what I did right and what I did wrong and what can be improved so the next project hits and we’re all satisfied.”

Responding to feedback on X, he added that his next album – after KOTMS II BONUS – might be one in which he sings more, or a punk album, or another album like 2018’s acclaimed TA13OO. “That’s the request I get and out of those requests ima pick one,” he said.

Curry is currently on an extensive North American tour on Tuesday (3 September) with Shakewell, Pouya, $UICIDEBOY$, EKKSTACY, and Haarper. Remaining dates are:
