Danny L. Harle collaborates with PinkPantheress on "Starlight"

Producer, writer, and composer Danny L. Harle is back in the studio for his next solo project. After releasing his record Harlecore in 2021, and stepping back from solo music to produce, engineer, and mix music for pop stars like Dua Lipa, Charli xcx, Caroline Polachek, and more, Harle has returned with "Starlight". PinkPantheress features on the track as the primary vocalist and co-lyricist.

Listen to "Starlight" below:

"'Starlight' reaches for a kind of euphoric melancholy — a guiding light in all of my music," explains Harle via press release. His song attempts to channel a long tradition of European music history, drawing inspiration from everything from Elizabethan-era madrigals to 90s Eurodance and trance music, adding:

"It’s shaped by my love of the melancholic songwriting traditions of Europe from composers like Monteverdi and John Dowland, all the way to 90s Eurodance and the uplifting trance of the 2000s — artists like Gigi D’Agostino and Alice Deejay."

When asked about working with PinkPantheress, he called her the "dream collaborator," adding, "her love for ornamental melodies and hypnotic lyricism fit perfectly into my sound world.”

This is also Harle's first track shared via XL Records, as he released Harlecore through Mad Decent.
