Five years on from her album Tamale, Montréal-based singer/songwriter and early YouTube adopter Daniela Andrade is getting ready to share her next body of work, starting with a new single, “Biking”.
Writing on Instagram a couple of days before, Andrade said:
"About 4 years ago, in the thick of isolation, I began to write letters to a friend. Letters I mostly never sent. These letters, which came to feel more like entries, turned into a meaningful way to speak to myself. Today they’ve come to remain a format I’ve kept when I need to sort through things in my mind. This process has informed much of the way I’ve continued to write music in this season of my life and I’m excited to begin to share it with you all."
"Biking" is released through Crooked Lid Records, the label co-founded by Andrade and her manager Jeff Kwok in 2012. Watch the video below:
The last we heard from Andrade was in 2021, both a feature artist on a l l i e's "DNA" and on her own one-off single "Alone".
