Circuit des Yeux, the musical project of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Haley Fohr, has shared a new track, titled "GOD DICK".

The song combines a menacing string section with claustrophobic Xiu Xiu-esque drum machine barrages to haunting effect. Of course, Fohr's resonant operatic voice burrows through "GOD DICK"'s sinister symphony.

“GOD DICK serves as a sort of chrysalis function, it’s passage leading from the past toward things to come. It's sweaty, exponential, cacophonous, growing, symphonic, and relentless.  I wrote this as an effort to embody a state of change fueled by deep wanting. I sonically (and visually) imagined something huge hiding in a skin much too small for it – a kind of love banshee bursting through porcelain skin one hair at a time until finally, the beast within is fully on display.”

It's likely "GOD DICK" will be part of a yet unannounced followup to -io, the first album Circuit des Yeux released via Matador back in 2021. While that announcement has yet to be made, Fohr will hit the road in November with two solo shows and a handful of dates alongside Bill Nace and Alan Sparhawk respectively. Circuit des Yeux will perform a tour in full band lineup in April and May.
