Chappell Roan has been dealing with some heat as of late regarding the upcoming presidential election. The singer stated recently in an interview with The Guardian that she doesn't have any plans to endorse anybody this election season because there are "problems on both sides."

Many people - including fans of the "Good Luck, Babe!" singer - felt upset at the artist's lack of concreteness and transparency when it came to her vote.

In a TikTok posted today (Wednesday, September 25th) Roan made her vote clear and lamented her overall thoughts on both the Democratic and Republican parties.

"Im done talking about it. If you dont get what im saying from this, its a lost cause. And im not forcing you to agree with me. This is my statement. Have a good day" - The caption of Roan's latest TikTok

"Endorsing and voting are completely different. I don't agree with a lot of what's going on with, like, policies. Obviously, fuck the policies of the right, but also, fuck some of the policies on the left. That's why I can't endorse. That's why I can't put like, my entire name and my entire project behind one. Because there is no way I can stand behind some of the left's completely transphobic and genocidal views."

Roan elaborated further on her 'problems on both sides' argument.

"You know what is right and wrong, and so do I. Fuck Trump, for fucking real, but fuck some of the shit that has gone down in the Democratic party that has failed people like me and you, and more so Palestine, and more so every marginalized community in the world."

Without giving endorsement, Roan confirms her vote.

"I'm not going to settle for the options I have in front of me - and you're not gonna make me feel bad for that. So yeah, I'm voting for fucking Kamala."

Many people have been wanting a firm endorsement from Roan, but she has made it known that she has no plans on doing so. Roan's staunch refusal to provide any sort of endorsement follows Instagram posts from Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Finneas announcing their endorsements for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

"Vote like your life depends on it, because it does" said Eilish.
