New York's punk club CBGB may have closed in 2006, but its memory as the spot where punk and rock giants like Patti Smith, Television, Ramones, Blondie, and more often played lives on in the revived CBGB Fest. Today, the festival announced its lineup for the September 27 event at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn. Iggy Pop and Jack White are billed as the headliners.
The lineup for the CBGB Fest features representatives from every generation of punk — from those who performed at the original venue in the 1970s and 80s, to those shaping the genre today. The UK's Sex Pistols (without Johnny Rotten) and Marky Ramone will play alongside Lip Critic and Lambrini Girls; Cro-Mags and The Damned can be seen on the same day as YHWH Nailgun.
The full lineup of artists performing at 2025's CBGB Fest can be seen on the poster below:

CBGB Fest was originally founded in 2012, roughly six years after the original club had shut down. The festival lasted three days, promised 100+ artists, and took place in Times Square and Central Park, according to Rolling Stone. This year's festival will be the first one since 2014, and it's been noticeably scaled down to accomodate just one day, three stages, and twenty-one artists, per BrooklynVegan.
Tickets for the CBGB Fest go on sale this Friday, May 16 at 10 am ET, with a presale occuring May 15 at 10 am ET. The festival also promises a "Young Punk" ticketing option, which grants attendees under the age of 25 entry at a discounted price of $73/ticket. Only 350 tickets are available, according to the festival's website, and people must buy them in person at the Music Hall of Williamsburg Box Office. The "Young Punks" sale will begin on May 17 at 12 pm ET.
