In a recent episode of American Idol, a very metal, totally not awkward moment unfolded as 18-year-old contestant named Insite brought some nu metal classics to the stage. During the auditions, he showed his chops by covering Korn’s 1998 track “Freak On A Leash” and Drowning Pool’s 2001 hit “Bodies.”

But the cringe level turned up a notch when judge Carrie Underwood, of course known for her success in the country music realm, got up out of her seat to join the vocalist for his performance of “Bodies.” Afterwards, she said it brought her back to her high school years, admitting, "that was high school for me.”
