Popular rock band Cage The Elephant were announced today as the halftime performer for an NFL game in Munich Germany. The game is set to take place on November 15 between the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers.
Cage The Elephant are best known for songs such as "Cigarette Daydreams" and "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked." They are multiple time Grammy winners which include winning Best Rock Album in 2020 for Social Cues.
The bands singer Matt Schultz spoke about playing in Munich stating, “We have played a lot of shows in Germany over the years and the crowds here have always given us everything they have,” “Playing a halftime show is a completely different animal – you get one shot in front of a stadium and a global audience, and you have to make every second count. We are going to bring the same energy we bring to our own shows and we cannot wait.”
This isn't the first time a halftime show performance has taken place in Munich. In 2024, Machine Gun Kelly performed on November 10 for the game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.
