Bryan Ferry, legendary Roxy Music frontman, has released the all-new song "Star" from his upcoming career retrospective box set. The single, which also features Scottish musician Amelia Barratt, has drum programming and bass handled by Nine Inch Nails duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Ferry explains that the song started "as a sketch" by the duo, though neither has a songwriting credit. Ferry is credited as sole songwriter, and primary production is attributed to him and James Garzke. "Star" is the first new piece of original Bryan Ferry music since his 2014 album Avonmore.
Listen to the track below, and watch its music video co-directed by Ferry and Garzke.
Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023 is out October 25th via BMG. You can pre-order it here.
