In a stark contrast to last year's School of Song workshop, hosted by Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker, ambient pioneer Brian Eno has signed on to teach the online program in January.
The course features four lectures, live Q&As with Eno, and live writing exercises. The deadline for registration is January 4th, with a $160 price tag.
Eno says that he is “...looking forward to the chance to properly articulate some ideas about the creative process that have been fermenting over the last 50 years.” This motivation aligns with Eno's recent work with mentee EDM breakout Fred Again.., with whom he's had a close working relationship for over a decade.
Eno's course will cover a lot of ground, including topics such as "The Role of Surrender" and "Creating a Compelling Sonic World."

School of Song has been hosting songwriting (and other music-making-related courses) for a few years now, and in addition to Lenker, have had courses led by the likes of Tune-Yards, Emily Sprague (of Florist), Phil Elverum, Laura Veirs, and many more.
