Disgraced emo rockers Brand New have been plotting their return for some time now, and are now making things official after their first live performance in quite some time.
The band dusted off the stage rust last Wednesday at their return show in Dallas before playing gigs in Newport, Kentucky, and Nashville, Tennessee. Now, the band has officially announced their comeback with a 24-date tour that begins in May and ends with a hometown Long Island show at UBS Arena on July 2.
Stereogum pointed out that all of the venues hosting the band have disabled the comments on social media in a move that should surprise absolutely no one.
In 2017, Pitchfork reported that multiple women had come forward to accuse frontman Jesse Lacey of sexual assault and solicitation of explicit photographs from a minor. He issued an apology and blamed sexual addiction.
