Austin trio Being Dead returns with its first new music since 2024, this time on new label home Polyvinyl.

They're working again with producer John Congleton (Death Cab for Cutie, St. Vincent, Alvvays, Angel Olsen), who worked with them on their breakout album, EELS. They're also playing a hometown show next month and will perform at Treefort Music Fest in Boise next spring.

The band is excited about their signing, but warns the label, “We don’t mean to put too much pressure on Polyvinyl, but if we’re not inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame within the next two years, we’re throwing in the towel. That said, we have full confidence that together, we will take over the world.”
