American metalcore guitarist Andy Williams (Atomic Rule, ex-Every Time I Die), died Saturday after he suffered a medical emergency during a wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania. He was 48.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Williams' death to TMZ following his health crisis at an Enjoy Wrestling event at Mr. Small's Theater

Williams, who moonlit as a professional wrestler known as "The Butcher" for the better part of two decades, collapsed during a wrestling match and was treated by on-site medical staff until paramedics arrived to transport him to a local hospital.

In a tweet, Enjoy Wrestling stated:

"Andy collapsed at the end of his match this evening. Our doctors on staff tended to him immediately, administering CPR until the ambulance arrived. We sent everyone home and are at the hospital now waiting for more information. Thanks to everyone who helped and has reached out"

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp announced the terrible news on X at 9 p.m., and the wrestling promoter replied with the above statement shortly thereafter.

Ringside News initially reported his death, citing wrestling podcaster Mac Davis, before retracting its story after Enjoy Wrestling refuted the claim.

Shortly after news broke of his collapse, Williams' former Every Time I Die bandmate Jordan Buckley shared:
