André 3000 has officially uploaded the new track that could be heard during a mini-documentary he uploaded to Instagram on Sunday (17 November), in which he delved into the meaning and process of making his debut solo flute album, New Blue Sun.
The 11-minute track is titled “Moving Day”, in which André continues to explore new sounds with the flute through a spiritual realm. It is followed by “Day Moving”, a reverse version of the previous song, which you may find more interesting than it sounds.
There is a third release to accompany the new single, called “Tunnels Of Egypt”, a previously unreleased New Blue Sun track.
André is also featured on the freshly released TRANSA compilation album from the Red Hot Org, a not-for-profit dedicated to fighting AIDS through pop culture.
The one half of the hip-hop duo Outkast was nominated for three categories on the Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, for his recent solo debut. Unfortunately, the Academy's recognition doesn't seem to be enough for the LP to count for his contract deal due to a certain clause.
He also confirmed that there is new music coming next year and is finding “New ways to distribute and express.”
