André 3000 confirms new solo music for next year

André 3000’s solo career has never ceased to surprise. After numerous rap features with other artists and 17 years since his latest full-length, he released his first solo album last year: one with “no bars”, and with a flute as the main instrument. Nonetheless, it has been a prolific debut for the singer-songwriter, as he has received several nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

During music festival Camp Flog Gnaw this past weekend, André sat down for an interview with Wayno Clark for Rotation on Amazon Music. During their chat, they talked about what’s in store next year for the renowned Outkast member.

“What does an André 3000 vision board look like going into 2025?” Wayno asked. “New music, for sure,” André confirmed. “New ways to distribute and express...I don’t want to pinpoint what it is, but I just want to express more.”

They also talked about his recent Grammy Awards nomination in a new clip:

A few days ago (17 November) marked the one-year anniversary of the Atlanta native’s solo effort, New Blue Sun, released via Epic. Recently, he explained that the LP did not count towards his deal with his label due to a certain clause in his contract.
