Adrianne Lenker releases new song "Once a Bunch"

Adrianne Lenker is already having a great 2024, with extensive touring (both solo and with main band Big Thief) and the release of her beautiful, well-received solo album Bright Future back in March. Now, she is releasing a brand new song from the same recording sessions as that album, called "Once a Bunch". Listen here:

The song is a "bonus track" of sorts, as it was previously only available on the Japanese version of the Bright Future CD. It has been played live several times, including as far back as 2021, but has never been officially released beyond that bonus track slot in Japan.

Its pleasant, bobbing country tinge leaves it right at home amongst Bright Future's other songs, and its melody and lyrics have a bit of a loose, warm tone, with Lenker even trying not to chuckle towards the end of the song. It almost sounds like some classic country folk from a past era, as Lenker calls to "give peace a chance."

"Once a Bunch" will be released on 7" vinyl in the fall via independent record stores, but can be streamed everywhere now.
