A Radiohead tour might happen this year, according to a high school auction in LA

While many wait anxiously for new music, the recent spike in activity from the long-dormant Radiohead might suggest another, potentially equally exciting venture: a tour in 2025.

Earlier today, Resident Advisor reported that the band's management confirmed that they scheduled multiple live events later this year, including a couple shows in select European cities.

Furthermore, four tickets to a "Radiohead concert of your choice" were put up for auction organized by Palisades High School to raise money for LA Fires relief. The listing claims Radiohead's manager directly donated these tickets to the auction despite posting through an intermediary company Blueyed Pictures, Inc. The manager claims that the winner "will be in direct contact with the manager for ticket arrangements," per the listing.

The conditions of the prize imply that multiple tour dates are scheduled. According to the listing, the winner of the bid could select their preferred location and date "based on the band's tour schedule."

The bid closed yesterday, March 17. The tickets had a starting price bid of $750 and an estimated retail value of $2,000; they went at the auction for $4,000.

This news comes a week after Radiohead formed a limited liability partnership (LLP), 'RHEUK25.' This allows the band to work independently from a standard label model, which usually relies on external companies and labels to manage the band's affairs. All five members of Radiohead are listed as members of the LLP, further hinting at a possible reunion. (The last time they formed an LLP in 2021, however, they only reissued their record Kid A Mnesia, a compilation of Kid A and Amnesiac; there was no new music or tour.)

Radiohead also celebrated the 30th anniverary of one of their most popular records, The Bends, last week. (Read our retrospective analysis here.) To celebrate, the band shared a playlist consisting of archived remixes and B-sides from their record, as well as old concert footage of frontman Thom Yorke performing "Fake Plastic Trees" at a Toronto gig in 1995. Earlier today, the band uploaded more archival footage from their The Bends days onto their public library.

Radiohead and their management have yet to confirm the existence of their supposed tour in 2025. New music from the band isn't officially coming either, unless one counts Yorke's Tall Tales, a collaboration album with Mark Pritchard due for release on May 9 via Warp Records.
