A series of brief reviews dealing in records I didn’t get a chance to do a full review over the past month. Here, I touch down on the latest records from Dum Dum Girls, Warpaint, Cities Aviv, Alcest, Young The Giant, and more! Thank you for watching!
After two electrifying tapes, Scotland’s Young Fathers come through with a huge sound on this latest album of theirs, Dead. I’m not as crazy about the songs, though.
Actress’ latest album is like a musical sketchbook filled with intimate, personal experiments with techno, house, and more.
You might’ve heard that Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have a new collaborative LP coming out called Piñata. This match-up alone is enough to leave one abuzz with excitement, but the features list, including Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown, and many others; is simply overkill. Above, you can check out
