Singer/songwriter Devendra Banhart has dropped a new video for “Für Hildegard von Bingen,” a smooth cut off his last album, Mala. In the video, the titular nun escapes the convent and has success working as “a VJ on rotation”. Story aside, it’s shot in beautiful hi-contrast black and white, while Devendra lurks in the background like an omniscient spirit.
Mala is out now on Nonesuch.
